Basic Information

Orders are aimed to be shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6pm. Order before 3pm on any of these days for same day dispatch (not always guaranteed).

Orders are packed at 3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you contact Oddinent to change your order at a time when your order has been packed, or ultimately has already been shipped, I am unable to change, refund or cancel your order.

If you place an order and then contact Oddinent asking to expedite your order (e.g. because you need it by a certain day) I will be unable to help you. If you are placing an order for items that you need by a specific date or time, you must leave plenty of room for packing, dispatch, shipping and possible delays.

The estimated shipping times outlined on the shipping options at checkout are from the date that your order is dispatched, not from the date that your order is placed. Once you receive your order dispatch email, your order and the time it takes for it to arrive is the responsibility of Royal Mail.

All orders are shipped with Royal Mail.

All receipts and proof of postage are retained by Oddinent for 90 days after dispatch. If you think your order is lost, or it arrives damaged, please get in touch. While Oddinent is not responsible for lost or damaged mail (this is the responsibility of Royal Mail), I may be able to contact Royal Mail to make a claim if you encounter any issues. Claims against lost mail can only be made if the order has not been delivered by the due date plus 7 days for tracked and plus 10 days for non-tracked. If Royal Mail accept the claim, the amount of the claim paid by Royal Mail will only be refunded to you via the payment method used to place your order. Royal Mail do not always compensate the exact cost of the lost or damaged mail, and in the instance where you are not compensated fully, Oddinent is not liable to cover the remaining losses. The compensation given by Royal Mail often depends on the service you chose at checkout, so it is recommended you use tracked shipping, especially if you are placing an order over £20.

Oddinent cannot always resolve/cover/compensate issues regarding lost/damaged mail but best efforts will be made.

For more information on lost, late or damaged mail please visit the Royal Mail website.

Oddinent recommends that you choose a tracked service if your order is above £20, and that you also record an unpackaging video for your own records should you encounter any issues with your order. If you claim there are damaged or missing items inside your order, and are not able to provide me with an unpackaging recording where the entire package can be seen from sealed to opened, I am unable to resolve the issue.

Cover & Compensation

FOR THE UK:

  • Royal Mail may provide compensation of up to £150 for orders shipped with tracked shipping.

  • Royal Mail may provide compensation of up to £20 for non-tracked shipping.

For outside of UK:

  • Royal Mail may provide compensation of up to £50 for international tracked shipping.

  • Royal Mail may provide compensation of up to £20 for non-tracked shipping.

Shipping to the US

I have made the decision to stop shipping to the US due to the introduction of the new tariffs. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to sell my products to customers based in the US knowing the charges they may face on the other end. I am VERY aware that people are able to make the decision for themselves when ordering. However, if a customer then decided they were unhappy with the charges after already receiving their order, my tiny business could face losses trying to resolve such an issue with the customer. I am very grateful for those of you in the US who have purchased from me. Hopefully in the future shipping to the US can resume without it harming both small businesses and their customers.

Thank you for understanding <3
